Have you ever wished that someone would listen to your side of your story? Sometimes all we need is someone to hear us out and understand us. Minority groups in the society suffer from the inability to be heard.
This is because the oppression and exploitation of the secluded groups of the community have become the order of the day. Learn more about Lacey and Larkin: http://www.laceyandlarkinfronterafund.org/about-lacey-larkin-frontera-fund/michael-lacey/
It is sad that because of ignorance and arrogance of some individuals of the society, the fight for human, civil and immigrants’ rights seems to have no end.
Philanthropic groups, on the other hand, have decided not to rest until they set things right in the nation. They are committed to seeing that everyone is served with justice, regardless of who they are or what they are.
In an attempt to see this happen, many humanitarian groups have been formed. Different groups have different objectives based on what triggered them from being formed. Here are some of the active humanitarians groups and what they believe in;
The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund
The Frontera Fund has helped improve the lives of many. The founders of the organization are the founders of the Phoenix New Times as well.
The duo has spent most of their time implementing the first amending rights. Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin sacrificed the settlement that they got from the case of Sheriff Joe to start the Frontera Fund.
The Frontera Fund supports the groups that advocate for human, civil and immigrants’ rights in Arizona.
The Advocates for Human Rights
The Advocates for Human Rights Group, was founded 30 years ago. Their main agenda was to ensure that the law is enforced to see that the human, immigrants and civil rights are observed.
The group has been able to make a difference in the lives of children, immigrants, and women. This success has been enhanced by their committed staff, supporters and well-wishers.
The foundation is also committed to assisting the immigrants who need shelter. The Advocates for Human Rights also research on the individuals who violate human rights and ensure they face the law.
It is crucial that human beings treat each other with dignity. Judging people based on who they are and what they have is lame.
Every human being is entitled to justice and respect. However, some individuals have refused to adjust and make the world a better place.
Humanitarian Groups are playing a major role in ensuring that a nation is a sane place, where justice and equality are observed.
